Killarney sits in the southeast corner of Vancouver bordering the Fraser River and Burnaby. Mostly single family homes and multifamily homes there are shops and services in Champlain Heights and a 40 hectare park with walking trails and off leash dog areas to be found in Everett Crowley Park.
It wasn’t until after World War Two that this area was developed from second growth forest and farms. William Rowling in 1868 was granted land in this area including the land along the Fraser River shoreline which is now all of Killarney’s riverfront.
